The result of the EU referendum is likely to affect the future of EEA nationals living in the UK and of their family members although we do not know to what extent. So far it is not clear what sort of residence rights might be offered to them once the UK leaves the EU.
I would recommend that EU nationals and family members living in the UK apply for residence documents as soon as possible. Applying costs only £65 and a residence document could at least offer some clarity about a person’s current status.
For those EEA nationals who want to bring their Family members I recommend that they do it now.
